
The Bethel College men's tennis team concluded their 2012 spring season by posting a 4-3 mark bringing their final overall record to 8-12. The Pilots played hard and registered wins over Calumet College, Defiance College, Cornerstone University and Manchester College. At season's end, the program said farewell to six seniors who have been the backbone of the program for four years. Playing their final matches for the Pilots this spring were Nathan Baker, Stephen Ward, Alex Tsikouris, Rosten Hamman, Derrike Kolb and Tim Long. In addition, Joe Rallo completed his education degree and will be leaving the program.

The Bethel College women's tennis team will be competing at the 2012 NCCAA National Championship Tennis Tournament being held in Mobile, Alabama May 8-11. The Lady Pilots currently have a 14-6 season record and will begin play on Tuesday morning, May 8th when they will meet Campbellsville University (KY). Later that same afternoon, they will take on Palm Beach Atlantic University (FL). Pool play will conclude on Wednesday morning when the Lady Pilots will battle Northwestern College (MN). Semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday with the championship match slated for Friday morning.

The Bethel College men's and women's tennis teams played host to Cedarville University (OH) on Saturday afternoon at Baker Park in Mishawaka. The Bethel men were shut out 9-0 while the Lady Pilots won their fourth consecutive match by the score of 6-3.

The Bethel College men's and women's tennis teams played host to the Manchester College Spartans on Thursday afternoon and both squads came away with wins by the identical scores of 8-1.
The men's action began with singles play where the Pilots took five of six matches. Leading the way at number one singles was Alex Tsikouris with a 6-2, 7-5 victory. Other Bethel winners included Stephen Ward at number two, Rafael Barreto at number four, Derrike Kolb at number five, and Tim Long at number six. The Pilots finished the day's play by sweeping all three doubles positions. Winning at number one was Ward and Caleb Hadden, followed by Tsikouris and Nathan Baker at number two, and the duo of Long and Trent Stout at number three.
