Three solid days of team scores kept the Pilots in contention for most of the tournament until the back nine of the final round which led to the third place finish behind winner Marian and runner-up Indiana Wesleyan.

Bethel started Monday's 36 hole, rain filled extravaganza with a solid team score of 300.

Junior Tim Langolf was the first round leader, firing a one over par 72 to bolster BC's attack.

The Bethel College men's golf team finished 5th out of 13 teams at their own Invitational Tournament, held Friday and Saturday at Blackthorn Golf Club. The Pilots fired rounds of 304-307 despite fighting through injuries to two of their top five players, who were both hurt during the first round on Friday.

Spring golf season in the Midwest was up to its typical tricks Monday and Tuesday at the NAIA Classic at Brickyard Crossing. With a field consisting of some of the top teams from all over the nation, the brutal cold and gusty wind eventually won out.

The Pilots travelled to Kendallville, Ind. and came away fourth out of ten teams at the University of Saint Francis Invitational, firing a two day total of 619 (309-310).

Bethel was led by freshman Brian Ulrich (75-79) and Tim Langolf (77-77), while Brady Klotz added 78-78 and Drew Day (78-79), Jon Enfield (80-77) and Spencer Pannabecker (77-80) all totaled 157.
