The Pilots picked up a pair of wins on Monday to avoid elimination from the Crossroads League Tournament. Bethel's 6-4 win over Saint Francis gave the Pilots entry into their second nine-inning match of the day against Huntington, the team that sent BC into the losers bracket with a 13-4 decision on Saturday. Monday's result was quite different. Behind a nine-inning, complete-game performance from Caleb MacPherson, the Pilots rolled to a 7-1 win and earned a spot against top-seeded Taylor for a right to play for the league title on Wednesday. The two wins move BC's season mark to 20-24 and is their first 20-win season since 2011.
