
"Holly is coming off an amazing sophomore season. She really has worked hard to perfect her bunt, slap, and power slap and it's exciting to see her want even more. She was a catalyst for us last year at the plate and on the bases. AS A SOPHOMORE: started and played in all 58 games for the Pilots, one of only 2 players on the team to achieve this feat. Holly led the team in both At-Bats (196) and was second in hits (73) while compiling a .372 batting average. Was second on the team in triples (2) and HBP (4). Holly led the team in stolen bases (58 in 65 attempts). Holly also had a .412 on-base-percentage. Once again Holly fielded a perfect 1.000 in the outfield. Holly was named MCC All-Conference and also made the MCC All-Tournament team….NAIA 2nd Team All-American….NFCA 2nd team All-Region..NFCA Scholar Athlete.
AS A FRESHMAN: started 55 games while playing in all 59, she was one of three players to play in every game last season, she was second on the team in batting average (.392), led the team with 189 at bats, was second on the team in runs (48), led the team with 74 hits, led the team in stolen bases (46-51), was third in on base percentage with .442. Holly fielded a perfect 1.000 with one assist and six put outs for a total of seven chances. Holly was named MCC All Conference…made the MCC All-Tournament Team, and she was player of the week for the MCC (March 23rd)…she was the recipient of the 2009 NAIA Champions of Character Award…NFCA Scholar Athlete, 2009 Bethel College Softball Rookie of the Year
PREP AND PERSONAL: four year varsity member of both softball and basketball, named all conference in both and team captain. She also played varsity volleyball for two years, member of Student Council as Vice President and Secretary, Secretary of VOICE, Student Government, academic recognition for excellent in English, Spanish, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, Computer II, and Bible, member of National Honor Society, named to the KPC News Northeast Indiana All-Area Team as a sophomore and junior, KPC News Northeast Indiana All-Area Team Prep of the Year senior year; softball team Most Valuable Player award junior and senior years, Basketball Leadership award senior year, Panther Award junior year….daughter of Bill and Linda Weaver along with two brothers (Will and Casey) and one sister (Annie)….born December 3, 1989
