AS A FRESHMAN (at SEMO): Named to the OVC All-Tournament Team. Second Team All-OVC selection. Named to the OVC All-Newcomer Team. Team's No. 1 pitcher as a freshman appearing in 32 games including 27 starts. Compiled a record of 19-9 in 185.0 innings pitched with a 2.42 ERA. Recorded 23 complete games including two shutouts. Recorded a team-best 184 strikeouts which ranks second all-time on the SEMO’s single season charts. 19 wins is tied for fifth on SEMO’s single season charts. Opponents batted just .217 against her, led team in ERA, innings pitched, appearances, starts, complete games and strikeouts. Ranked eighth in the OVC in ERA, third in the OVC in wins, strikeouts and starts. Fourth in the OVC in innings and starts. Set a school record with 13 strikeouts in a game twice, struck out seven and allowed two runs in complete game loss at No. 18 ranked Southern Illinois. Appeared in 12 games as the Redhawks designated player...batted .212 with one triple, two home runs, seven RBI and four runs scored with a .455 slugging percentage. Collected three multi hit games, two multi RBI games, and two game-winning RBI. Named OVC Pitcher of the Week the final two weeks of the season. Member of the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Southeast Scholar Athlete.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Two-time All-State...two-time All-Conference...helped lead her team to state runner-up finishes in 2004 and 2006...led the state with a 0.31 ERA going 15-3 with 242 strikeouts and only issuing 24 walks in 128 innings...struckout 15 or more batters in a game five times as a senior...batted .403 with three home runs, seven doubles, five triples and 24 RBI...went 9-1 with a 1.17 ERA and 133 strikeouts her junior year...averaged over 12 strikeouts per game during prep career...four-year starter and team captain...recorded a 33 strikeout contest during a two day marathon that lasted 19 innings... and Vice President of the National Honor Society...two-year member of National Honor Society...member of the 4.0 Jaguar Platinum Honor Roll all for four years...recipient of the SEMO- Presidents Academic Scholarship.
