After the final day of competition at the 2014 NCCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships, the Bethel women earned a third-place overall team finish out of 18 participating teams while the men finished sixth. Day two saw one additional individual national champion to add to the two that were crowned yesterday.

Saturday's national champion was Michael Ponce who won the men's shot put with a hurl of 16.07 which beat the second-place mark by almost a half a meter. Other All-American performances were turned in by Tommy Grant who took third in the 60 meter dash (6.95) and improved his NAIA qualifying time and the 4x800 meter relay team of Jordan Annis, Tim Sipe, Andy Herbert, and Logan Kimmel (8.05.71). Overall, the men's weekend resulted in four All-American results and one NCCAA Indoor individual national champion. In addition, the distance medley relay team of Annis, Conner Sowders, Herbert, and Joel Hartman that took sixth-place overall during Friday's competition broke the BC indoor track and field record with a time of 10:24.97 which also qualifies them for the NAIA Indoor National Championships.

On day two, the women's team continued to produce great individual results including three top-three finishes. Sprinter Avante Newsome-Gunn earned her second and third All-American awards on day two by taking third place in both the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash with times of 25.58 and 59.01. The 25.58 seconds in the 200 qualified Newsome-Gunn for the NAIA National Championships, becoming her third qualifying mark having already hit the mark in the long jump and 400 meter dash. Cinnamon Green also became a multi-event All-American after placing second in the shot put with a throw of 13.60.

The Pilots will conclude the indoor season at the NAIA Indoor National Championships held in Geneva, Ohio on March 6, 7, and 8.
