Men's Tennis - Sat, May. 4, 2013

Luke Prude, from Paducah, Kentucky, has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and tennis career at Bethel College in the fall of 2013 where he plans to major in Business Administration. Luke will be graduating from Upward Call Christian School in Paducah on May 25th. Luke's tennis background is very impressive as he has played four years in USTA Jr. Team Tennis (JTT). In 2011 and 2012, his JTT team qualified for the Kentucky State JTT tournament. Luke's record in JTT competition the past two seasons was 18-2. In addition, Luke was ranked in the top 25% in the USTA Boys 18 Southern Section, the largest section in the nation with over 1750 players.

Aside from tennis, Luke made the honor roll for each semester while in high school and was active in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).  He modeled good citizenship by his voluntary participation in his local church and several organizations, including Generation Joshua Youth Civic Club, Hope Unlimited Family Care Center and the Salvation Army.

"We are tremendously excited to welcome Luke to our tennis team," stated Bethel coach, John Natali. "Luke is not only an excellent tennis player, but he is a young man with great character and maturity. When Luke visited Bethel, he immediately fit in and we could all see that he would be a great addition for our program. We are very pleased that Luke has decided to play for the Pilots."
