Bethel Softabll is pleased to annouce the transfer of Kelsey Caposey from Grand Rapids Community College. Caposey, originally from Sturgis, MI, comes to Bethel College after spending one year at GRCC as an outfielder. "I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this opportunity, I can't wait for an awesome season with the team." stated Kelsey about her decision to come to Bethel.

During her time at GRCC, Caposey started 49 of the 52 games and averaged 0.426 at the plate. With a 0.471 on-base percentage, her speed on the base path allowed her to steal 15 bases out of 16 attempts. Additionally, Caposey's had 60 hits on the season which included four doubles, one triple, and 8 RBI's. At the end of the season, Caposey was named to the Academic All-Conference Team and the First Team All-Conference. After her senior year at Sturgis High School, Caposey was named on the All-Division First Team, All-District Team, and was given the Scholar-Athlete Award.

"I see Kelsey having a big impact on the team, not just this year but the following two years, as well," said Bethel College Head Softball Coach Megan Smalley. "She is quick in the outfield but can also play middle infield if needed. Her speed and power as a lefty slapper will be valuable in the lineup."
