"Our 20th golf outing was very successful." stated Coach Mike Lightfoot who is the Director of Athletic Development. "I certainly was excited about our great turnout. I want to thank everyone who made our athletic golf outing a success this year.  It certainly shows our athletes that there are many who support them from behind the scenes."

The 20^th Annual Bethel College Athletic Department Golf Outing was played at Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana on Friday, June 15^th.

It was a picture perfect day for the 148 men and women who signed up to play in this year's event. At 1pm the teams were divided into two flights and were sent out to Knollwood's west course to start the competition. Upon completion the golfers were invited to stay for an awards banquet with dinner and dessert provided by Sodoxo Food Services. At the banquet prizes were awarded to the top 3 teams in each flight along with prizes given for ‘shot that were closest to the pin' on par 3s and the ‘longest drive' on designated par 5s. Along with awards there were a variety of door prizes given out from a host of generous companies which included Chick-Fil-A, Hoosier Racing Tire, and various Bethel teams.

Athletic Director Jody Martinez reflected on the golf outing and said "This is one of the events that I look forward to because of the many relationships that are formed with sponsors, donors, Bethel Faculty and Staff, alumni and friends. Knollwood staff does a great job and we have a great working relationship with them. Coach Lightfoot, Coach Hess and Terry Zeitlow do a great job of putting this outing together. I also want to thank the coaches in the department who helped with the little things that make a difference."
