The Bethel College Track and Field program will be represented by eleven athletes next week at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships to be held May 24-26 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
The women's side will be led by Sam Etter who qualified in both the 100m and 400m hurdles. Also competing for the Lady Pilots will be Kate Carr in the pole vault, Emilee Simcox in the high jump, and Cinnamon Green in the shot put.
Pacing the way for the men will be Calen Boyd. Boyd will be competing in both the long jump and the triple jump at the national championships. Also, competing for the Pilots will be Robert Rose in the discus, Ryan Carlock in the hammer, BJ VanderZwaag in the javelin, Michael Ponce in the shot put, Robby Burns in the 110m hurdles, and Harrison Fausey in the marathon.
Carr is seeded sixth in the pole vault, Rose is also seeded sixth in the discus, and Boyd is seeded ninth in the long jump to represent Pilots that are in the top ten heading into the Championships.
