The Bethel College women's tennis team concluded the season with a 5-4 win over Emmanuel College at the NCCAA National Championships from Mobile, Ala. on Wednesday afternoon.

The match got started with doubles competition where Molly O'Grady and Whitney Neuenschwander won at No. 1 doubles by the score of 8-4.  Sarah Cressman and Morgan McFarren followed up at No. 2 doubles with an 8-4 loss and then the team of Bethany Blodgett and Melissa Ramer took No. 3 doubles by the score of 8-2.

In singles action, the Lady Pilots won at No. 5 singles with Ramer by scores of 6-3 and 6-1, Johnson at No. 6 singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-4, and Neuenschwander at No. 3 singles by scores of 6-3 and 7-5.

With five wins and the match in hand the Lady Pilots played out the final three matches but came out on the losing end of all three.

Blodgett fell at No. 4 singles by scores of 6-4, 5-7, and 4-10, Cressman lost at No. 2 singles by scores 4-6, 6-0, and 9-11, and O'Grady lost at No. 1 singles by scores of 4-6, 6-7, 8-6.

Before the match began the NCCAA announced that three Lady Pilots had earned NCCAA All-American Honors.  Molly O'Grady garnered First Team All-American honors while Bethany Blodgett and Whitney Neuenschwander earned Second Team All-American honors.

The Lady Pilots finish the season with a record of 15-8.
