Bethel College men's soccer head coach Thiago Pinto has announced the signing of Bremen High School's standout Josh Brenneman to national letter of intent. Josh will continue his soccer and academic careers beginning in the fall of 2012.
Josh Brenneman, a left footed midfielder, has been starting for his high school team and has played club soccer for the Jr. Irish club and Elkhart Flames.
Josh will be the sixth member of the Brenneman family to be a student athlete at Bethel. Josh's father, Dale Brenneman, and his two older brothers, Jared and Jesse Brenneman all have played soccer for the Pilots. Josh's mother, Karen Brenneman, was a volleyball, softball and women's basketball player for the Pilots and has been inducted to the Hall of Fame at Bethel. Josh's sister, Darcy Brenneman, is currently a sophomore with the women's soccer team.
"We are very excited to have Josh join the Bethel soccer family," stated Coach Thiago Pinto. "Josh is a great story because of his family history here and we hope the Brenneman's have saved the best for last. It's always nice to have a natural left-footer and Josh has very good athleticism and can give us a lot on the left side of the field. He's an excellent fit for us because he has a great work rate, fun personality and he's an excellent student as well."
