The Bethel College baseball team used hot hitting and solid pitching to sweep Goshen College by scores of 14-1 and 13-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilots scored 14 runs on 12 hits in the opener led by multiple hit performances from Evan Pulliam, Jordan Long, and Casey Weaver.  Six other Bethel batters recorded a hit in game one.

Elliot Rowe was the beneficiary of all the run support as he earned the win on the mound by throwing all seven innings while allowing four hits and one run.

Game two was much like the first as the Pilots scored 13 runs on 13 hits.

Multiple hit performers in game two were: Steven Steele, Ethan Zartman, Drew Eads, and Casey Weaver.  Five other Pilots recorded a hit as well.

Luke Pepple did his part on the mound to earn the win.  Pepple threw all seven innings while allowing five hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out five.

The Pilots will look to continue their dominance of the Maple Leafs on Tuesday as they complete the season series with a doubleheader starting at 2:00 pm in Mishawaka.
