In their eighth 5-set match of the 2011 season, Bethel volleyball (12-11, 7-8) fell to Goshen (10-12, 6-10) after beating the Maple Leafs at home earlier this season.  Friday night's game scores for the Pilots were 21-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-21, 12-15.

Sophomores Amanda Troyer and Katie Kurth knocked out a combined 40 digs, Troyer with 19 and Kurth with 11. Sophomore setter Morgan Fox set 44 assists, senior Ashley Wagner had 15 kills and sophomore Alicia Carlton had 13 kills.

It was a back and forth night for the two teams.  Bethel would fall behind several points then fight back, but in games 1, 3 and 5, they waited too long to catch up.

This loss pushed the Pilots under the .500 mark for conference play. On Saturday, Bethel will travel to Spring Arbor to play at 1:00 pm, hoping to make a turnaround from their 4-match losing streak.
